How can I eliminate the thoughts that cause me suffering?

You cannot eliminate the thoughts that stem from suffering because thoughts are not the root cause.

Humans are highly influenced by their external environment, which can impact their internal state. By changing our thought patterns, we can induce internal changes.

Therefore, those who are happy do not smile because they are happy; rather, they are happy because they smile.

While we can condition ourselves with positive environments and are highly susceptible to words and thoughts, the cause of our suffering is not our thinking. It is a consequence, not a cause.

Merely forcing positive thoughts will only temporarily mask our suffering, which will resurface with greater intensity in response to triggering events.

Suffering is not solely caused by external events but also by negative beliefs formed from past experiences.

Without a history, there is no suffering, and this narrative is no longer an external influence but an internal activity.

The cause lies within our own hearts, which evoke anguish in response to seemingly indirect events.

Subsequently, our minds justify this suffering through argumentative activities.

Our thoughts have their roots in our unconscious and feed back into that cause, especially negative thinking, which is highly dysfunctional and leads to no real insight.

Overcoming suffering does not erase our history but rather removes its negative emotional charge, allowing for smiles or compassion towards our past ignorance.

Visualize overcoming past suffering to overcome current struggles, breaking the cycle of self-punishment or constant complaints.

Understand the origins of your suffering and transcend them by delving into their depths and operations.

Avoid getting caught up in sentimental thinking, self-pity, or self-blame. Approach your recovery seriously, investigating the causes of your pain as a scientist would.

Given the difficulty of this process, seek professional help from a psychologist, coach, or therapist who has successfully helped others in similar situations.
